Dr. Lauren Coulson

Dr. Lauren Coulson was born and raised in San Jose, CA. Her veterinary career started at age 15 as a kennel attendant and she has been in the business ever since. After graduating from San Jose State in 2009, she went on to pursue her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA and graduated in 2013. It also happens to be the same college Dr. Gibbings and Dr. Camacho attended as well! Dr. Coulson especially enjoys working with feline patients, senior pets, and performing surgery. With a background in the nonprofit world, Dr. Coulson’s empathy and compassion for animals is evident in the way she practices medicine and one of her greatest strengths. She resides in Carlsbad with her two cats Brooke and Moo Shu, and dog Dakota. She enjoys everything the beautiful San Diego coast has to offer, but especially loves trying new restaurants for brunch, taking Dakota to the beach, and spending quality time with friends and family.
